The winds out of the west blow through my mind whispering the time is right now. Time is one thing that cannot be controlled, it ticks away at our lives either giving joy or causing the opposite by forcing us to opt for a course of action. Often, there is nothing to do, then suddenly you are behind with everything that should be done. Planning and procrastination goes together in what we call prioritizing. But when the biggest decision you have to make is anything close to whether or not to take a nap, life if good.
My solution is “Lists.” I make lists. Not the ones on the latest electronic devise either; I’m talking about the old fashion kind written on anything I can find and with any type of writing tool that is available. I have this philosophy that if you write it down, it’s as good as done. To re-phrase this concept, if you don’t write it down, how are you going to know that it can be put off until tomorrow?
There is a sense of accomplishment in checking things off a list. Nap, done that. ✔
Does this in any way promote world peace? Well, now that sounds like a bonus question, it doesn’t have to be answered.
Don’t judge my use of time until you have flown a mile on my broom. Even doing the minimum can get a job done. Time spent doing nothing is good, that’s why we have Sundays.
